IPPUDO Tonkotsu Ramen Soup in a Can | Blog

When we were waiting for the train to come, I was looking for something to drink at the vending machine when this Ippudo Tonkotsu Ramen Soup in a can caught my attention. This was my first time seeing ramen soup in a vending machine.

I like ramen, but I am not a fan of drinking the soup. My husband loves ramen and would drink all the soup, so he got excited when I told him about it. And without thinking twice, he bought one.

The Ippudo soup is sold hot. It costs ¥150. It contains 190 grams of tonkotsu or pork broth soup. The noodles and toppings are not included. A can contains 32 kcal and 1.3g of protein.

It is available in Acure vending machines. I found this vending machine inside the Keiyo Line train station.

For a better taste, do not forget to shake the can before opening it so the ingredients will be mixed.

Our Thoughts about IPPUDO Tonkotsu Ramen Soup in a Can

I tried to sip some and it was a no for me. But that doesn’t mean it’s not good. I can taste seafood in the soup and I don’t eat seafood. It does taste rich like ramen soup but not exactly the taste I expected it to be. According to Ippudo, they made it much easier to drink so it is not exactly the same as the broth they serve in their main ramen shops.

For my husband, it was so good and he said he would buy it again. According to my husband, the umami and saltiness are perfect.

Try these IPPUDO’s instant noodles and broths. Amazon Japan also ships to other countries.
