DAISO Matte Lip – Wine Red | Review

What is it? This Daiso Matte Lip is a cheap in-tube type cream matte lip color.

Price & Availability. It is available on DAISO JAPAN for 100 Japanese Yen (tax not included). I am not sure if it is available on DAISO overseas.

Ingredients. Mineral Oil, Talc, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Polyglyceryl-6 Octastearate, Glyceryl Behenate, Euterpe Oleracea Fruit Extract, Soluble Proteoglycan, Butylene Glycol, Tocopherol, Water, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Phenoxyethanol, (+/-) Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, CI 15850, Mica, Aluminum Hydroxide, CI 19140

Container. It has a tube-type container, same as the typical lip gloss.

Scent & Taste. It has no scent or taste which is good for a 100 Japanese Yen product.

Color. The color is wine red and it really beautiful. It is not an overpowering red but kinda brownish.

Consistency. It is creamy and it reminds me of cream blush in a tube that I had before and because of that, it was easy to spread using fingers or a lip brush.

Coverage & Finish. The coverage is pretty average. It is not opaque but it covers the lip without patches. The finish is not matte but glossy. It actually looked like a lip gloss at first but it turns into matte eventually and looked like lip tint on my lips. It does minimize the appearance of flakes on my lips.

Comfortability. It felt the same as other matte lipsticks. It felt as if it is drying but it’s not. There is a weight to it. It does moisturize the lips on the first hour a little then it eventually fades.

Longevity. This only lasts for 3 hours. (I didn’t eat nor drink.)

Verdict. This is a really good product. I love it especially the color. I would love to try the other colors available.
